1. Birdie Juice

Make a birdie and everyone else in your group takes a shot. Can't stop, won't stop. Pre-fill those shot cups before Par 3s — peer pressure is half the game.

Best played with: the full group. Maximum humiliation for bogey golfers.

2. Three-Putt Punishment

3-Putt = 1 Shot. 4-Putt = 2 Shots. Let's #@%! go. Nothing fixes your putting faster than the social cost of drinking alone in front of your friends.

House rule option: anyone who 5-putts has to sing a verse of Cart Karaoke right there on the green.

3. Greenies (Closest-to-Pin)

On every Par 3, the player whose ball lands closest to the pin wins the hole. Every other player takes a shot. If nobody hits the green? Everyone drinks. Rough day.

Tie rule: both players are safe. Everyone else still drinks.

4. Cart Karaoke

The player with the worst score on any hole must perform a song — chosen by the group — during the next cart ride. Encore or take another shot. Their choice.

Pro tip: start with the chorus. Easier to remember. Worse to watch.

5. Bingo Bango Bongo

Three points available per hole:
Bingo — First ball on the green: 1 PT
Bango — Closest to pin when all balls are on the green: 1 PT
Bongo — First ball in the hole: 1 PT

After 18 holes, the player with the lowest points takes a shot for every point they trail by.

Best for groups of 4. Keep a scorecard — it gets complicated after hole 10.

6. Bogey Bomb

Bogey = 1 shot. Double bogey = 2 shots. Par or better and you're safe. This one rewards consistency and punishes complacency. Good golfers love it. Everyone else regrets it.

7. Water Hazard Wipeout

Hit the water = 1 shot. Lose the ball entirely = bonus shot on top. Two separate violations. You know what you did.

8. Sandman

Every bunker visit costs 1 shot. If it takes you two swings just to escape the sand, add another. The bunker is a tax on bad shots and it collects immediately.

9. The Snowman

Score an 8 on any hole and take 2 shots. An 8 looks like a snowman — and now you've built one in front of your friends. 2 shots minimum. No negotiating.

10. Lip-Out

Miss a putt that lips out = 1 shot. Miss one from under 3 feet = 2 shots. The closer you were, the worse it hurts. Golf is cruel. This game embraces it.

11. Mulligan Tax

Use a mulligan and take 1 shot immediately — no exceptions, no grace period. You wanted a second chance. You paid for it. Down the hatch.

12. Fairway King

Miss the fairway = 1 shot. But hit every single fairway on a 9-hole side and you earn immunity from all Fairway King penalties for that side. Stripers reign. Slicers suffer.

13. Long Drive Survivor

Shortest drive in the group takes 1 shot per hole. That's 18 potential shots. There's no teaming up. There's no hiding. Hit it further or pay the price all day.

14. The Woodsman

Hit a tree = 1 shot. Hit two trees on the same hole = 2 shots total. The forest is watching. It is not impressed. Aim for the fairway.

15. Cart Path Champion

Hit the cart path and if your ball ends up in a worse spot than before the bounce, you take 1 shot. Physics punished you. The group will not let it go quietly.
